Local 833 operates in Beaver County in the Building Trades area.  Working as a laborer can be physically demanding, but can also be financially rewarding.  An example of the type of work you may encounter as a laborer are:

  • masonry
  • concrete
  • excavation
  • demolition
  • maintenance
  • asbestos
  • hazmat
  • any many others


We work at many different locations throughout Beaver County, including schools, mills, and power plants.  

Please note - in order to be accepted into Local 833, anyone applying needs to pass drug test, a security background check, and have a legal drivers license.  You must also have transportation, and be able to take training classes at our training site in Saxonburg.  You will also need to pay an initiation into the International Union, and monthly union dues to Local 833.
